David Cheney

David Cheney is a Calgary-based artist.
Born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, he was raised and lives in Calgary. He studied at the Alberta College of Art and Design (1984) and received a Master of Fine Arts from York University (1990) as well as a Master of Arts from the University of Calgary (1999).
He also studied at a local art college in Paros, Greece (1987).
He has been a member of the Burns Visual Arts Society, the Alberta Society of Artists, Untitled Arts Society, and Artpoint Gallery and Studios Society. He also taught watercolour for several continuing education programs in Calgary. Since 2000, he has donated paintings to a variety of charities, which he continues to this day. Today he works from his home studio and continues to travel.
