About Artpoint

History
Artpoint Gallery and Studios Society has been a vital part of Calgary’s arts ecosystem since its founding in 1998, originally established as The Calgary Point of Art Society.
For over 25 years, the non-profit organization operated out of a city-leased industrial building in historic Ramsay, offering artist studios and galleries. During that time, Artpoint supported a diverse community of artists and hosted numerous exhibitions and events.
In 2023, the organization was forced to vacate the property due to the City of Calgary’s plans to construct a new transit line through the site.
Despite this significant setback, a dedicated group of Artpoint artists were determined to keep the organization alive. Their collaboration with cSPACE Projects led to a new chapter: Artpoint found a new home in Calgary’s Beltline district, where it continues to thrive as a creative hub in the city’s vibrant downtown core.
