Coming soon: New Virtual Exhibition April 2021

Artpoint Gallery and Studios Society has been greatly impacted by COVID-19, due to restrictions for public activities and events in arts and culture. Artpoint is a recognized arts non-profit society that supports a diverse community of professional artists who are recognized for their experience, expertise and contributions to the arts locally, nationally and internationally. We are also well-known for supporting the Calgary community through gallery openings, and public events, such as the Eastside Crawl in September.

In response to COVID-19, Artpoint is looking at optional opportunities to support the Artpoint members and connect artists to the community through their website and social media platforms. Therefore, we are pleased to announce a new Virtual Exhibition to be presented online April 1 – June 30, 2021.

Artpoint Virtual Member Show October 2020

Well, I think we can all agree that this year has not gone to plan for most of us, and Artpoint is no exception. To ensure the safety of our members and their families, and to abide by all the recommended health precautions provided by the AB government, we decided early on to postpone any and all exhibitions at Artpoint until 2021.

But what is a gallery without art? What are artists without a gallery? We had to do something! So, in lieu of any in-person exhibitions, please enjoy the first ever Artpoint ‘Virtual Member Show’, a curated selection of recent works by our member artists.

Click here or on the gallery below to be taken to the full album on Flickr, where you can browse through the images and zoom in on each piece to see all the detailed brush strokes and colour blends. It is almost as good as the real thing!
