Dianne J. Leong

Art creation has always surrounded Dianne, first as a young child, watching her Father who was a multi-talented artist – a painter, a welder, a motors enthusiast and inventor.  Dianne holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Calgary graduating in 1994. She majored in painting and printmaking. She also holds a Bachelor of Education after degree, 1998 and a Masters of Education, 2009.

She has worked for galleries and museums including the London Regional Art Gallery and worked as a visual artist for 8 years. She was an exhibiting member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, Alberta Printmakers Society and the Garden Art Party Society of Alberta, before establishing a long career as a certificated teacher. She has worked in public education K-12, community and post-secondary education. She currently holds leadership roles in non-profit arts and culture, Dianne is pleased to have a new studio at ARTPOINT to immerse herself and re-discover her art voice and passion.  Her work is held in private collections.
